Pieter Bruegel

Known for his narrative (storytelling) composition, Pieter Bruegel was one of the most significant artists of the Northern Renaissance. As a painter and printmaker, his work is a celebration of common people and common activities of his day, focusing on themes such as rural working life, religion, and superstition.
