Andrei Rublev

Ready for a fun family evening of art, history, and a bit of mystery?

The Man of Matthew
c. 1400

Gather your materials and join us for this month’s Sketch art class on Friday at 6:30.  We will be studying master iconographer Andrei Rublev and making our own symbol filled metallic artwork.

Materials needed:

1. Template & Worksheet: click here to print   This project works best if printed on a laser printer – If you need me to print a copy for you, please just let me know. You can pick it up anytime during business hours at our store.

2. Gold paint pen or any gold paint/ink

3. Metal foil tape approx. 2”x48” per student (can be purchased least expensively in the hvac department at any hardware store.  You may also substitute heavy aluminum foil and school glue)

4. Modpodge, any finish

5. Old paintbrush for spreading Modpodge (I like to just use my fingers)

6. Glad Press and Seal (highly recommended) or plastic table protection

7. Scissors (older/duller scissors are better for this project)

8. Small bowl of water or access to a sink

9. Bone folder (or old credit card)

10. Wooden photo frame approx. 4″x6″, one per student. (these are usually available in the dollar bins by the register at Michaels, or you may use any old frame.)
