Supply List 2020/2021

I know the list looks huge! Sorry about that. I included everything I could think of so that you could do class at home, including cardboard to prevent poked fingers and plastic to protect your table. Sketch is not offering bulk orders this year, but I highly suggest that you chat with friends from class and see if you can share the cost of certain items (foil tape, plaster wrap, etc.).

bone folder

gold paint pen / any gold paint

foil tape approx. 2”x48” (can substitute heavy aluminum foil and glue)

tempera paint, cakes or powder (can substitute watercolor)

paint palette / paper plate

several size synthetic paint brushes (usually labeled “for acrylic”)

plaster bandages/wrap 4”x16”

cotton twine, ribbon, or string approx. 12”

Glad press and seal (highly recommended) or plastic wrap

mixed media paper 9”x12” approx. 6 sheets white and 2 sheets black per student (can substitute watercolor paper)

felt tip pens in multiple colors (Papermate Flare are good “smash resistant” liners)

value scale – a printable version is fine

graphite pencil set including 2B, 4B, H and 2H

blending stump / repeatedly folded paper towel

wooden photo frame 

kneaded eraser

gum eraser / everyday pencil eraser

cardboard – approx. 2 sheets 8×10 from any old box, for a work-surface only

scissors

ruler

color wheel – a printable version is fine

binder clips, 2

oil pastels (soft or chalk pastels will not work, but crayons will do in a pinch)

acrylic paint (can substitute tempera)

10”x10” canvas / canvasboard

newspaper or magazines cut into 1” strips

scotch tape

mod podge, any finish

multicolored scrap fabric

large needle with wide eye

waxed thread / waxed dental floss
