Rene Magritte

René-François-Ghislain Magritte
1898-1967

This month we are focusing on the surrealist works of René Magritte.  This Belgian painter combined everyday images, words, and symbols to enchant his audience.  He was fascinated by the interaction between these three things, and played with them constantly.   The resulting images were both  witty and thought provoking, and they continue to increases in popularity to this day.
