Have you ever accidentally gotten yourself into a situation, and you immediately knew that you shouldn’t have been there in the first place? The focus of this month’s lesson found himself in exactly this predicament. How he got out of it, and what happened next is a fascinating tale, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

This month we will be working as a detail oriented jeweler, just like Rouchomovsky, but our medium won’t be gold (unfortunately, wouldn’t that be fun to learn!). Instead we will work with glass. In order to participate in this month’s project you will need the following items. Pre-purchased glass kits will be waiting for you at class. Please pick them up at the same place where you got your bulk order materials.
- 1 mixing plate / palette
- Black permanent marker, ultra fine
- 1, 1” flat paint brush
- voc 96 glass kit for 1 student (must be purchased through Sketch – extras are available – just email sheryl goedecke @ yahoo . com )
- eye protection
- gloves
- wooden stylus
- Glue in small container w brush
Parents of littles – the last time we did this craft as a class we had need of only one bandaid, and that was for an adult who carelessly tried to brush glass off of the table with their hand. I assure you, your child can do this.
I have two safety requests. First, everyone must wear shoes. Second, if you are bringing a child young enough to put things into their mouth, please bring a high-chair or stroller to secure them in.
See you soon!
